Goal
Create a seamless experience between mobile shopper app and self-checkout screens
The Problem
Mobile shopper is an app used by shoppers to create lists and explore a retailers site. Especifically in grocery. The app allowes you to create a list of items you need and then when you go to the grocery store it organizes it by aisle and products for easier use. The problem is how to differentiate when a user can checkout on the app vs. when they need to use the self checkout (SCO) in addition.
The Solution
In this use case we highlight a user that has produce and needs to weigh it at the SCO, my role was to create a flow for this feature. Things to consider were, how to minimize the time spent at the SCO and attendant interactions while also considering the use of QR codes in different regions. I created two different flows, one where the user can scan the QR code provide by the app onto SCO and it will transfer all the items and another one where the camera feature will open through the app to scan a QR code at the self checkout station.
In addition I also created the illustation for the QR Scan
